2 Years Later...

A day in the life of the Linton's,

There are now 3 little Linton's, all happy and healthy children.

- Maria (almost 5) is looking forward to the fall, she will be starting Senior Kindergarten, and taking Dance, Skating, Music, Awana (Christian Education), and swimming. She is a wonderful big sister (a little on the bossy side), but cares very much.

- Adrian (almost 3)will be returning to Alliance Family Centre and will start taking Gymnastics, Awana, Music and Swimming. He is a low maintenance boy, who loves Cars.

- Gena (almost 1)will start going to Alliance Family Centre and take Music, and Swimming. She is a very busy kid, but usually has a smile on her face.

- I am looking forward to returning to work, teaching grade 2 at Camborne Public School. Dan will continue to work for Hewlett Packard (in our basement).

Dan and I will be celebrating our 9th year of Marriage and I honestly can not imagine my life without him. It is a crazy life, but would not trade it for anything!

VERY STRESSED OUT!

Well another school year has started and everything is in full swing. Dan is finishing up Agility with Tess, Sunday School has begun,we are taking the kids to swim in the Port Hope pool, Maria has started Awana (at the Fellowship Baptist Church), and I have decided to return back to Yoga. So far my transition back to work has been ok, but I have to say, it is MUCH harder than it looks. Some days I wonder what it would be like to go back to the days before we had children (we had SO much more free time), but then I remember how blessed I am . On the really stressed out days when the tears are flowing I have to step back and think, life could be way worse...

New York City!

July 26-29th was our trip to New York City. We decided to celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary by visiting the "big apple". It was one of the best trips we have ever been on. Julie and Cameron came with us. We stayed downtown Manhattan and saw just about everything. Early on Sunday morning we all jumped into the car and drove about 9 hours (plus stops, we had old prego with us! Just kidding Julie, we love you). Some of our highlights of the trip were the downtown double decker bus tour (and our awsome tour guide), FAO Schwarz, Yummy Italian food and going pee in the Plaza Hotel. On the way home we stopped in Pennsylvania to shop at Kohl's, we got some great deals!

Visiting the Statue of Liberty

Driving past the Empire State Building.

Eating at Rugy Tuesdays in Times Square.

Our view from the top of the Rockerfeller Oberservation Deck.

Times Square

Julie really wanted to go into the main Trump Tower (the one he actually lives in). The door man was very friendly.

Getting ready to take the Lower Manhattan Double Decker Bus Tour.

Cameron was interested in Grand Central Station, it was really cool. Good place to eat lunch too.

While we were in the finanical District, we had to rub the lucky bull.

FAO Schwarz was the greatest Toy Store ever!

Anybody remember the movie BIG? This was the Piano that Tom Hanks played on. Nobody else was all that interested in trying it, except me of course! Stand Back Kids!

A very large LEGO Batman statue..... Cameron and Dan thought he was cool.

I really wanted to go on a carriage ride through Central Park. It was AWESOME!

Birthday Blessings

On July 24th, 3 years ago, a blessing named Maria came into our lives. I took her to City Streaks (a salon in Cobourg). We got our hair done together. It was so much fun. As for Maria's party, we celebrated Ariel Style. She absolutely loves "The Little Mermaid", so that was our theme. Maria's Aunts, Uncles, Grandma's, Grandpa and close friends joined us and we had a wonderful time. She received many beautiful and thoughtful gifts. The only hitch in the day was the fact that her Uncle Scott and Opa were not there. Both were missed. Uncle Scott called her to wish her a happy birthday and Opa was watching from up above...

Scott and Kathryn's Visit

For the July first holiday Scott and Kathryn came to visit us from Calgary. We went to the 1000 Islands on the boat for a few days. This was a lot of fun because both families (Scott and Kathryn's) were all together. This location means a lot to all of us. About 16/17 years ago both families met for the first time on the boat and got along really well. And now of course Scott and Kathryn are married. We also celebrated Scott's 25th birthday and took a trip to the Peterbrough Zoo.

Relay For Life

On June 5th, our team participated in the Relay for Life. This was our third year and with the help of many we were able to raise $7000 for the Canadian Cancer Society. Our team was made up mostly of Dad's family. This was an emotional day as we remember Dad and think about the hard fight he had with cancer. It was a blessing to have him in our lives. Loosing him gives us more motivation then ever to raise as much money as we can, so others will win the fight! Thank you to everyone who supported us!
